Saturday Evening Concert
Top Tips for enjoying your virtual Canal Festival Fireworks evening!
Get outside if you can
Take to your back gardens in the spirit of watching live fireworks outside. Experiencing the sun, the rain and the wind are a massive part of the festival experience!
Treat Yourself
The whole point of a festival is that it’s a treat – for us, just once a year! So you could break out the BBQ or order local take-away to help support local businesses!
Enjoy a Drink
Another one of those staple activities of festivals is having a few beverages…in the spirit of treating yourself, you could indulge here too, maybe a few cocktails (mocktails for the kids)!
Just be sure to drink responsibly…whether in your back garden or living room! Just remember to be considerate of your neighbours who’ll remember it, even if you can’t…
Dress for the Occasion
If you’ve been to a festival before, you will know that the dress code is pretty much whatever you feel like… why not dress in your favourite Festival outfit and send us some pictures… we would love to see them!
And it doesn’t just have to be only you that is dressed for the occasion. Decorations for the garden, (or wherever your festival takes place) are another way you can add to the experience. Lighting can create atmosphere so you could get a colour changing RGB bulb, raid your box of Christmas lights in the attic, or float tea lights in bowls of water…. Again, share your images or memories with us!
Share the Experience
Have some friends round (obviously sticking to Government guidelines) socially distancing two metres and enjoy your virtual fireworks with friends outdoors.
How about getting kids to make wristbands for visiting friends – and perhaps treasured as a souvenir of the summer of 2020.
